Ink Colour Gel
Time to try some of the new products out. Today’s review is for… (drum roll please)
The Ink London Colour Gel paints.

These are lush, but can be quite hard to apply, the purple and blue go on wonderful, some like the Flaming Pistachio (neon yellow) have needed 3 coats making them a bit bulky.
I’ve found it best to try to float the gel onto the nail, as it seems to distribute more evenly using this method.
Starting from the purple at the top, there are 2 of each colour – 1 finished in matte top coat, the other in a shiny top coat.

So from the purple – and going counter clockwise:
Purple Haze
Flaming Pistachio
Shimmering Pink
Orange Flame
Green Glow
Yell
Blue Blaze
Pink Fusion
Mauve
Pinkaboo
I haven’t yet done Naked Pink, so I’ll add that later when I have had time.
The shimmering colours are all beautiful and both matte and shiny finish look good. The Ink site says best to apply them in 2 thin coats and cure for 120 seconds under LED – I’ve only done these for 60 seconds and they can’t be used on natural nail – they need to be applied to enhancements. Each pot is 5ml, which, based on this application, will last ages.
I’ve just realised I’ve also missed out Army! Doh!
I like these, but don’t think I would pay full price for them. I paid £1.50 or £1.40 plus VAT in the sale – deffo worth it for this price.
Was planning to use them as paints, so will have to test them for this too.
I love the little lids they come with to keep the gels sealed. Easy to remove and reapply to keep the gels within the pots – just need to make sure that they stay upright.
I love the mauve colour, so will be nice to see how the Naked Pink and Army colours look too.
