Using Crystal Shapes

Crystalis Totalis

Today I decided to practice with some of the crystal shapes I have. Hard to photograph because of all the sparkle.

On the left a Carolina619 recreation – using light pink and crystal AB. Trying to use smaller crystals as these are not particularly long nails – I would say medium length. The light pink crystals are from Temu, and not sure if it is because they are brand new, but they are super shiny.

I’ve attempted this design before and I think I can deffo see an improvement.

In the middle – this is another design idea, using a tear drop and rhombus shape. I think this is the neatest my caviar beads have ever been, so again, can see an improvement.

On the right, another design idea, this time using an emerald shape crystal and a pear shape below. I stuck the largest gems on first and then realised there should have been crystals in between them, so from then on had to loosely wing it.

The first 2 are on TGB Dolly BIAB base – this is a really gorgeous light pink which I need to own in a non BIAB gel. Just love it. Because it’s a BIAB these both needed finishing with a file to smooth out the lumps.

The right nail has got TGB BIAB Let It Glow as a base – this one is easier to apply, and three thin coats worked perfectly – no filing required.

TTFN!
