Trying Different Glitter

Another day, another Moyra tutorial. Another go of the Shine On plate, Moyra stamping polishes and gel stamping polish, and this time a Lecente glitter. The Galaxy Stardust glitter to be exact, which is super shiny, and super fine.
Today’s tutorial involved a nude base – I used whatever I found to hand. This was then marbled using water colour paints. I used blue, silver and white then added water to spread them around to create the underlying marble effect on the nails.
Over the top of this I used the turquoise, white and silver stamping polishes, marbled together and stamped with the pattern from the Yours Fine Marble plate. I think I’ve done it a bit too much really, and not marbled it enough, so it’s a bit hap hazard.
This was then top coated shiny and buffed to matte. Using the swirly pattern from the Shine on plate and white stamping gel, I rolled the stamper over the plate and flash cured the design on the stamper to prevent it spreading when being stamped.
Into the partially cured gel I added the Galaxy glitter, tapped off as much as I could and then did one final cure to seal the glitter into the gel. Then top coated the whole thing shiny to finish.
I think, looking at them, I should have left the background matte, and top coated, or maybe even left as is, the glittered layer. But this is the final outcome. Ta-da!
Working tonight, a little overtime for the end of the month.
TTFN!
