Transparent Nail Foils

transparent nail foils

Am finding that the nail stamping over glittery polishes is a bit too much for the eye to work out what is going on. They do, however, make great bases for transparent foils.

I’ve had some Ink gels in hiding for a while now, so thought I’d get them out and practice foiling. I’m getting so much better at full colour foils, but this kind of design makes it easy to hide little gaps.

That being said, I have used the Photoshop healing tool to remove a few little gaps in the black neon leopard print nail foils. The florals haven’t needed touching up at all. The featured image hasn’t been touched up – so – there are subtle differences between the featured image for this post, and the image contained in the content.

Top row we’ve got Ink Milkshake, Ocean Breeze and Foxglove topped with Lecente Neon Leopard Foil.

Bottom row, it’s Ink Coppa Mocha, Buffed Brut and Abracadabra, topped with Lecente Rose Bush nail foil.

I absolutely adore Abracadabra it has a beautiful pink, maybe purple, holo glitter running through it which is so, so pretty, and Buffed Brut isn’t too shabby either. It just doesn’t have the pink colour tone running through it and catching your eye.

I really like the Foxglove colour as well, it’s a warm, neutral mauve-y colour with a nice smooth application. Can’t fault the Ink gels at all, but none of the other brands have the same shine and polished finish as TGB.

I like the foils – was going through a Cath Kidston phase and had to have all of the floral foils I could get my hands on, but it isn’t really me. I’m just not a floral girl. So in this trial – the neon leopard would probably be the foils I chose. Not sure how I would do them on my right hand though. That would be very tricky!!

I so love messing about with all these nail things though. I have a lot of practised on tips building up though. Getting a bit out of control.
