Testing Products

Just a little test set today.

1st nail is a 5XL tip from Temu. Wanted to check it’s size and see if it was a good tip for aqua nails, but without doing the aquarium. It is. Was trying to create a shimmery sea effect, so this is a few different colours of gel layered over the top of each other. Love the colour.

Middle top is a sticker, layered over Hona gold and silver holo chrome. I could not get this to work at first. When I tried to burnish the chrome it just rubbed off. Quick look online and the suggestion came up that I was over curing my top coat. Retried, curing for just 20 seconds and it worked perfectly. Love it.

Bottom 2 middles are on Lecente Hygge Hugs green, with Magikels stick and slides reverse painted and stamped on to the nails. These I cut much closer to the image this time which sorted out the overhanging sticky bit. I have not yet mastered how to get the backing paper off without damaging the image, it distorts as I pull the paper away. Will keep working on them to figure it out as they are all perfect for Halloween.

Lastly, G wants some constellation / sky nails so foiled the back with a starry sky foil and applied some stickers. Still checking that I am still getting good results with Hona Get Tacky. Oh, it’s such a perfect application of the foil. Still love.
