Hona Chromes

Stamping and Chromes

Today’s efforts involve some of the new colours and some of the new chromes.

First up, the Hona chromes:

Mmm, not the best photo, so here’s a better one (or two).

These are Melo, Clam, and Clear on on old Nails By Avenir colour – Feminist – or at least, I think that’s what they are, as once you put them in the pallets, you lose the name of them. Doh!

The chromes are applied over Moyra foil stamping polish in black and a swirly pattern from my favourite Yours plate Fine Marble.

I had a go with Moyra’s Spicery plate and I could not get it to work. It is on a table with a bend in it though, and the plates are definitely a bit thinner, so possibly bending. Need to work on my angles as it just wasn’t picking up the full pattern, regardless of which polish I used.

Then I wanted to try some of my new colours:

Left – Dragon Fruit – wow a stunning reddy pink with pink and purple sparkles that is just to die for. A very, very lush shade. Love the TGB polishes, they are all so shiny and self level really well.

2nd from left – TGB Gold Coast. The picture really doesn’t show the sparkle enough but it has a very delicate shimmer, on a very delicate pale yellow – it’s a gorgeous colour, great for spring.

2nd from right – this is TGB Blue Orchid – I would describe this as a royal blue colour with shimmer – again – it’s just gorgeous and I got all of these at 70% off in the sale, so around £5 each, so totally, totally worth it.

On the right, this is Hona detail paints – top is Alaska, middle is Firefly and bottom is BFF. God I love all of these so, so much but the sparkly one at the bottom is my total fave – it has the most sparkle and I am a total magpie, so this in the one for me. I paid £8.13 each for these, plus VAT so not cheap, but I have wanted some since I have seen them mentioned on Clawgasmic and oh my god, totally, totally worth it. They are each 10ml in size so one of the largest paint pots on offer, which makes the price a little more swallowable. I just need to incorporate them into my nails somehow. Maybe a white French with BFF over the white would be lovely, the Alaska would give a lovely pearly French too.

I’m such an addict!
