Muted Moyra Floral Brown

Muted brown with 3D flowers

I have been loving these full sets with matching themes and there is a new tutorial on the Moyra tutorials website today, so figured, I’d do that. Also got a place on a thing called Code In Place, learning to programme so started that today too. Managed a couple of hours and my brain hurts, so moved on to nails to help me relax.

This set uses a light brown. This is hand painted in swirls, leaving gaps for the contrasting colour.

The contrasting colour is made by mixing that same brown with white and yellow, making a nice warm vanilla tone. This is painted into the gaps, then all cured and top coated in matte. The stamping polish in dark brown and black is dropped onto and mixed together on the stamping plate to create a dark dark brown shade. This one uses Norka’s Garden stamping plate. I think this is the first tutorial where I have actually had the right plate, and the right stamping polishes.

So the two colours are mixed on the plate, then scraped and then the stamper rolled over. This is then stamped and coated in matte top coat again to protect the stamped pattern.

For the second coat of Matte top I pulled out my TGB Matte top coat, the Temu one is just too thick.

To finish off I used a rubber base coat over the petals of one of the flowers to give a 3D look and this I top coated in shiny to finish off.

Et Voila – the finished four. Love how this turned out. Deffo one I would wear. Might even get away with this one at work.

TTFN.
