Moyra Tutorial – Full Set

Today, I decided to do a full Moyra tutorial set. I usually only just do one nail, but this set were all so lovely, I wanted a full five.
First off, the base colour is so wrong. It really needed to be a very pale vanilla colour – I think TGB Almond would have been better, but I pulled the lightest Guibofu I had in a similar shade, but it has impacted the design.

This tutorial used the Spicery plate and gradient stamping. I didn’t have the light purple so mixed white and light purple on the plate, but then let it dry before stamping. Couldn’t be arsed re-doing this, so for the second attempt just used white. And primer. And it just about worked. Over the top is a brown coloured stamp, and a gold gem and caviar beads added along the curve. Matte finish.
For nail number two, I wanted to do the gradient so did it in light and dark pink. Looks ok, but the light pink is lost on the too dark base colour. I decided to try this one with a shiny finish, which made me realise that I deffo prefer the matte.
Third nail – this time incorporating water decals – as close a match to the ones in the tutorial – as I could find. This time, I stamped in purple and brown – love this, but too much greenery bottom right. I did the same again for nail four, but with the pinks rather than the purples.
For the final nail I wanted to try some of the other decals from the same sheet, and added a line of text, also a decal. I decided to try a different gem for this one – a flower made of pearl. I don’t like it. It sticks up too much. But I love how the design turned out.
And that’s it for today. Byeeeee!
