Moyra Practicing

Thought I would have a little practice today, working later on a short notice overtime shift.

First two nails are based on a Moyra UK post on Instagram on how to create a 3D effect using similar toned stamping.

First nail – complete fail, tried to marble on the plate and did not complete the marbling.

Second nail – used TGB Sundae for the base and Moyra stamping polish in turquoise – better than the first but, have realised there should have been a clear coat between the base and stamp to help create that 3D look. Will revisit again in the future.

Third nail is from a new Moyra tutorial – https://courses.nailstamping.com/products/course/alexa-491 – Fabulous gradient nail art for spring.

I like this, but the silver spider gel went wrong so I tried to make it look more even and perhaps not great. I also used red instead of pink for the gradient. A brighter pink would have been better in hindsight, and more like the original tutorial.

On nail four I attempted to create a gradient using acrygel – this is again based on Moyra tutorials. On the tutorials Morya make it look so super easy, and in reality, it is not easy at all. In fact it’s nightmarishly difficult.

Random skill building session.
