More Nail Crystal Practice

Today’s practice involved more nail crystals, a little nail foil, a French design with stamping, foils and chrome edging, and creation of a water bubble / gem / 3D effect.

On the left – this is a nail I wanted to create a foiled French. In hindsight, I should have used a darker foil as the light marble pattern doesn’t really show underneath the chromed stamping I have laid over the top and edge of the French.

For this design I used some of the small gems that are in bottom surrounds, and a rain drop gem in the centre. I love this idea and how it looks isn’t too bad, but the gems stick up too much – maybe I should have blended them outwards with smaller gems. OK if you like chunky.

For the next two designs – top row, I sort of messed about with crystals. I don’t like the water mark on the 2nd nail, and I really don’t like the phallic sort of design on the third.

For the next nail I used a pre-made crystal charm for the centre design – I love this charm – and blended top and bottom with crystals to create the final effect. I do love this design and would definitely buy these charms again and wear them.

For the nail on the right I have used a foil, then stamped a design over the top, chromed and added Moyra gel polish to create the 3D bubbles. Not sure what I was trying to chieve with this design, but I don’t think it worked. I wouldn’t use this on myself.

For the bottom two nails I tried using another pre-made crystal rectangular design and other crystal shapes.

I also noticed a bit of black on the gem so went back and touched the picture up using the heal tool in Photoshop. Here’s the touched up picture, just in case… I sorted out some of the other marks I noticed whilst I was zoomed in too.
