More messing about

Today’s attempt includes another few randoms. Seem to have lost my nail mojo again recently. Had a bit of a good run though.

From left to right.

Top left. This was a trial, got some new to me designer foils off Vinted and wanted to try them out. Picked the one I thought I would use least and applied it over Lecente Hygge Hugs. Then added so of the chrome from the Maniology book of Spells box which turns out is a green holo chrome.

Bottom left is the same base with a Magikels water decal. I’ve been doing them the wrong way round. The sticky layer that you apply to the nails is under the clear film. I did the chrome again to see what it looked like over green, it’s a lot more subtle, but still lush.

2nd from left is my first attempt at lava lamp nails. It went horribly, horribly wrong and this nail kept springing a leak. I also decided I’d seal off the nail bed edge first and then fill and seal the smaller free edge hole. This theoretically should be easier, but is something I really struggle with.

Next one along I wanted to keep clear but fill with shapes as well as the glitter, and use baby oil and glitter glitterquarium nails liquid to create a different sort of bubble effect. This one has Magpie Blossom glitter in it, which worked well.

Lastly, this is a nail with one drop of Ocean Potion in it, which has completely coloured the water blue. It’s opaque, not see through at all. From one drop. Powerful stuff.
