Lots and Lots of Pink

Today felt like a pink day. I had a look around for a handy pink and spotted CJP Desert Rose, for the purple, I used CJP OMG. And then I just went a bit nuts.
Top left: I wanted to retry adding glitter to foil stamping, but with a super fine glitter, so I stamped using Moyra’s foil stamping polish in rose gold, the Yours is the bar ok plate and then I sprinkled Lecente Aurora over the top. It’s so fine it doesn’t look like glitter, it looks like chrome, but not as shiny. Good, but not great.
Top 2nd: I wanted to add foil to this one, but just in random places, and I wanted a metallic foil so went for a Lecente tiger stripe on gold background. It doesn’t look how I imagined it would – when I look at this one, it reminds me of bees.
Top 3rd: Needed to keep working on my gem practice, but didn’t feel like a big design tonight, so just kept it simple. In hindsight – I should have gone all out and made it amazing. I finished with a matte top coat as I just love the contrast in finish, the sparkly gems, compared to the satin nail.
Top right: Not quite over my need to carry on nail stamping, I decided to use the same stamping polish as on the first nail, but then chromed with a Hona gold from my palette. I much prefer the chrome finish to the glitter. It’s much more sparkly and eye catching.
Bottom left: I have had these pompoms for ages and wanted to see if I could do them with gel, previously I have only ever done them in acrylic. I used Light Elegance Pink Peppermint for the base and positioned the bottom magnet. The finish was quite lumpy so it needed a good file, and then I used the same base colour Desert Rose. The brilliant thing about these nail pompoms, is they are detachable. But when I tested I had flipped the bottom magnet over so they repelled, rather than attached. Doh! So I had to unpick the magnet in the top pompom and stick it back together with the curable crystal glue. Thank god it worked or I would have been gutted.

Love it!!
Bottom 2nd – this was the last nail I did and I was starting to get fed up of the pink so went for the OMG base colour this time. I then added the Glitter Planet foil gel, just roughly, and added a Lecente foil that stuck well. I painted a line of top coat and chromed using the same colour as for the top right nail, before sealing in shiny, no wipe top coat.
Bottom 3rd: Marbling practice this time – Desert Rose is the base, with white, Desert Rose, OMG and Lecente Prom Date to add touch of glitter. I added dots of each colour to the nail, along with Temu Blooming gel and then moved them around with a fine brush.
Bottom right: Pretty much exactly the same as the nail before, just moving the gel round with the brush to make a different pattern.
In all honestly, I wouldn’t wear these nails. They look a bit higgledy piggledy – like they don’t form part of a set if you know what I mean. Good practice session though.
