Kites and Pears

Just recently purchased a load of kites and pears but struggling to find clear visuals for ideas, so just a fling together session today.

I started with a fine magnetic pink base – but it was pretty transparent, so 3 coats later I added a fine silver magnetic and then shaped this with a magnet – absolutely beautiful. Both of these are Temu’s finest and they are both lovely.

Then I spotted CJP Opal – and it’s a super thick gel polish that is full of transparent glitter – small particles, and large hexagons. So I added a bit of this to the top of the nail and brushed it in to place with a fine brush.

Lovely to look at, but lumpy as hell. So I filed it as much as I could to create a smooth base, and then top coated in shiny – two layers. I matted this top layer but then ended up filing again as there were some areas that were just too uneven.

After that I started with the gems, started with the pear and kite and then just bunged others around them. It looks cool – very twinkly and sparkly, but, it’s a bit of a shit design really. More practice needed.
