Holo Stamping & Marbling

first-marbling

Following on from today’s earlier post, I wanted to stamp both of the Esmaltes da Kelly stamping polishes to test them and to see how holographic they really are. For this I picked a neutral base – CJP Piglet, a lovely piggie pink, and used a stamp from the Lina Make Your Mark 05 plate – the flowery one. It doesn’t fit the size 2 Apres tips I am using so added a bit at the bottom to hide the pink empty space – probably would have looked better with the pink space looking at the mess I made at the bottom.

These polishes stamped super easy, and so clean. I had time to remove parts of the other stamp that had caught on the stamper before stamping on to the tip. I used the Shein top coat and moving these around in the light, you can see the holo twinkle. I love the blue and the purple (think I might love the blue more) and wish I’d bought more of these when I could afford to.

These are from a 2017 collection – the Nebula Ultra Holographic Collection, and Nail Artisan UK still has some available to buy on their web shop. I would buy them all if I could, but would settle for adding Rosetta, Pleiades and some others from the Holo I Love Paris collection as they are also stunning, but money (or lack thereof) will definitely prevent this anytime in the near future.

For the final nail – first in the image – I used CJP Jelly Bean for the base colour. I’ve been itching to try the marbling effect I keep seeing online, so this is my first attempt. Its a bit chunky, so need to work a bit thinner in future, work on my pattern skills and have a bit more gold sparkle next time, but this is a look I will love when I have improved the technique.

Stamping – pretty much mastered. Marbling – still needs work. New (old but forgotten) holo stamping polishes – re-discovered amazingness.
