Crystals and Nail Stamping

Crystals and nail stamping

Today’s offerings:

On the left – this is a design inspired by a Moyra tutorial. Recreated from memory, so not as good as it should be. I’ve used a mocha mousse colour for the base, and then swirled foil stamping polish in white with brown and beige to create the milky coffee coloured area. I’ve picked this up on my stamper and stamped it onto the nail.

Over the top I’ve added the coffee beans and text from an Uberchic stamping plate in my collection.

2nd from left – a copied crystal design from Pintrest, on a Magpie base – Oh Sandy.

In the middle – Another design copied from Pintrest, this time on Nails by Avenir Feminist base colour.

2nd from right – this is a design idea from Carolina619. She has a design which also utilises a sticker. I thought I’d try a layered stamping from the Esquisse Moyra plates and just added crystals willy-nilly. Let’s just say, hers is better (by far).

On the right – I had some crystals left over and wanted to try another one, so started off with a base design from Pintrest but extended it to the bottom and to the edges at the top. I bunged a load of 0.4mm caviar beads into the fixing gel and didn’t want to waste them so just went nuts with them, adding them in everywhere until I only had one left.

The centre crystal shaped gem is an expensive one, so wanted to make this a good design. It looks better in real life than it does on the picture, and it is super sparkly.

I used a new Russian matte top coat from Temu and painted it on with a fine brush, but it’s too thick in places up against the crystals and doesn’t look the best, note to self – use less and apply more thinly next time.

Happy with that for today though.
