Complex Crystals

Today’s design involved another complex design, using small crystals to create one larger piece.

This took about 45 mins, so speed is improving, and I love how this turned out. I had to adapt it slightly, but nothing major, just added a couple of additional pearls when there was going to be some space.

I need to figure out the maths of this – the perimeter of the circle is going to help determine what number and size of gems will fit around the outside. But that’s a quest for another day.

I used a pre-painted tip. One of the ones I have created, so I have no idea of the colour. This one also has a sparkly top coat on it. Again – no idea which one, or which brand.

I’ve used the Magpie give me strength in clear again to hold the caviar beads in place, and flash cured in stages along the way to hold everything together.

For the bigger gems I’m using a Temu sticky gel with a tiny nozzle which works well and has a great hold.
