Challenge 1 – day 4

A day late – because of 2 night shifts, but did manage to do another clawgasmic tutorial.

This time it’s icicles. Simple but effective. I did this on my thumb as it needed re-doing.

I used Nailchemy’s Akashic gel as a base. This is an amazing, super-sparkly purple glitter gel with reflective glitter. It is truly gorgeous and will deffo be a favourite of mine going forward.

On top of this I used a Temu liner gel in one colour and dusted Magpie’s Pixie glitter – the bluey-purple glitter shown here.

Cured that and then added another layer of liner gel and dusted over Magpie’s Mary glitter. This one looks like the goldey colour.

I didn’t like the Akashic being matte so I went over with a no wipe top coat. I used 2 coats to make the nail smooth and remove the sugaring feel from the glitter.

Subtle, but stunning. You have to look really hard to see the icicles and the whole nail sparkles.

I love it.
