Catch up so far

Not wanting to leave January without just running over everything I’ve been doing so far, so I kinda had another little play today whilst the kids were at school.
I just had to try a more complicated gem pattern so the top left is exactly this, and this must have taken me about an hour, placing each gem and flash curing before moving on to the next. I had to rethink the design as the gems I was using were too big, so it ended up being reduced in height, but still following the guideline principles.
I love this. I don’t know how I would ever apply it to my own nails, but it’s really lovely, although fairly time consuming. I top coated shiny, and then decided to have a go at a much smaller and easier design along the cuff. I decreased the size of the gems for this one and I think it looks much better.
Just for a change I decided to matte coat the nail on this one. I was so careful not to get any on the gems so I didn’t dull the gems and I love how this looks. It really makes the gems stand out.
Lastly, I thought to end the month off I would re-try foil to make sure I still could – pleased to say I can. And then stamped the 2 holo stamping polishes in a damask pattern from the Yours is the bar ok plate. They stamp so lovely. And that’s a wrap for January 2025. Not a bad month for practising nail stuff.
