Blingy, shiny, sparkly nails
Been wanting to do myself some blingy press on nail sets. Using my Swarovski’s and all my bestest gems, knowing that I can pop them off whenever | need to. And came up with these bad boys.

I’ve used a combination of different gems here. I’ve got Preciosa crystal and pink opals on the thumb on this one above, Silver shade Swarovski on the index finger, a very blingy Chanel gem on the middle finger with Swarovski Light Chrome crystals at the tips. The ring finger has Swarovki chrome and light silk heart, Preciosa crystal and Temu chains, and the pinkie is a French design in Preciosa crystal.
Honestly – it didn’t matter how I photographed them, they look nothing like they do in real life. They are super sparkly and gorgeous.

For the second hand – it’s pretty much the same, but I used silver chains on the ring finger instead of gold, as it was all a bit of a miss-match so thought the silver chains tied it in together a little better.
The base for these nails is Nailchemy Carbis – a nudey pink with shimmer and a matte top coat to let the gems be the show pieces.
I decided to wear these, but chose a day when I had errands to run – not my brightest moment. I prepped by nails and put a very thin layer of a rubber base gel to protect my natural nails from the glue. Then I used Temu nail stick on glue tab things – I chose to size them a little bit smaller than my actual nail plate – but tip for future use, the glue tab does need to come right to the bottom of the nail or the press on nail part at the cuticle has a gap in it.
I then found I could do nothing. Nothing practical, anyway. I popped my first one off trying to put the car into reverse. I popped the second one off in Home Bargains. Nearly cried – it was a pinky, before G spotted it on the conveyor belt and handed it back to me. Phew, panic over.
I reattached, farted about in them for a bit longer before taking them off so I could resume normal life and ability level. Popping them off over the rubber base gel was easy, and then I found I could just rub the glue into lumps and off my nails – quick job. A quick wipe with alcohol and a wash of my hands and they were back to normal, with no visible damage to the base gel, or my nails underneath. Success! That means I now have a system in place for wearing these nails and popping them off easily.
I can only wear them on days where hand effort is minimal. Maybe date night, where the most strenuous things my hands have to do is hold a glass or use a knife and fork. Think even I can manage that. (We hope).
