Practice, practice, practice

A little of everything

Practice, practice, practice

Nail one: A beautiful crystal design, an idea from Lisa Johnston who does a lot of demos for Crystal Parade. Love this design – but just too bulky to wear in real life. Love the idea of making one of the heart shapes into a pendant.

Nail two: Clear Jelly Stamping plates are just the best. Love the layered stamping. The deer is 3 colours, dark brown, yellow (supposed to be a tan colour brown) and black. Sadly I used a yellow background so it looks like it is the background colour shining through. Also love the text – the black against the sparkly yellow is beautiful and the text design is really eye catching. The poinsettia? Yeah – needs work.

Nail three: Another CJS Christmas plate – pine cones concentrating on my positioning technique which looks pretty good here. And just some of the snowflakes, which are very detailed and will be awesome at Christmas time.

Nail four: trying to create my own gem using glitter in clear gel, with lump of clear semi solid gel above. This is then circled in a gold polish and covered in clear shiny top coat gel. This would be better using foil for a really gold gold, but still working out how to do this. Then practiced layered positioning again using the CJS Christmouse stamping plate.

Nail five is just the most adorable pattern. Same plate as nail four with pink Christmas trees and gold dots on a turquoise background. This looks so much better in real life, and goes to show that simple can be really effective.
