No spend challenge 2025

January Spending Review

We are now into February, so thought I’d do a little re-cap post on how I did with no spend in January.

So, for me, probably not bad. I couldn’t resist entirely – I HAD to buy the Nailchemy Christmas box when it dropped to £10. Plus VAT and delivery it came in at £20. Yes, the amount of products made it value for money, but no, I didn’t really need it.

For the gem glue, cuticle oil pen, trial metal file, mix of 2 sizes of gems, 2 polishes, 4 chrome palettes and a nail art brush, it was a mega bargain. But I kinda already have all of these things, so I could have saved my money. But, compared to my previous spending habits – it’s a massive improvement.

I’m going to try a complete month in February, which probably means spending less time on Temu and Crystal Parade and reading my emails about discounts. February is the shortest month of the year, so it’s the best one to try this on – the others are all longer and – therefore – harder to achieve.

Is this a win then, or a loss? I’m counting it as a win – but with a “room for improvement” sticker. Hopefully, there won’t be any sales on in February so I won’t be tempted. Fingers crossed please.
