Shiny sinks

Level One Kitchen

Struggle so much these days keeping a tidy house. Just seems so feckin pointless when you’re the only person out of four who actually does any tidying up or cares about how the house looks.

After driving myself crazy for x amount of years and having a massive mental health crisis courtesy of my family of origin, I just had to let it go.

Every now and again I have a few months of clarity and manage to get on top of it, but I can never manage the maintenance and it slips.

So, mega proud of myself. I’ve managed to assign myself what I’ve called level one jobs and complete them every day for nearly two weeks.

These are as follows:

  • poo pick the rabbit
  • hoover the lounge
  • empty the dishwasher
  • refill the dishwasher
  • put all the blue bin stuff in the blue bin
  • empty the kitchen bin and replace the bag
  • clean the kitchen counter tops
  • clean the hob
  • brush or hoover the kitchen floor

I’ve made these my base level jobs. If I can keep these clear I will inevitably also add on other bits over time, but for now this is a massive improvement and I’m dead proud I’ve been able to maintain this.

I shined one of my kitchen sinks today. I can’t tell you how much I love a shiny sink and tap.
